All managers seem to do this shit from time to time. LVG has confused many a Utd fan this season with bizarre subs. So has martinez.

I would like to ask Sam about that sub mind....

Re: Hes gotta go
Jon I agree with all that.

Sam could have replaced Noble with Ginge and pushed Tonka forward as DM.

He could have replaced Noble with Nolan.

But he didnt and thats why people have the arse with Sam because he constantly does this type of shit every couple of weeks...

Re: Hes gotta go

Noble was one more little foul away from a red despite his great performance, it was the correct decision to take him off but incorrect to put Carlton on. Like i said on other threads I would have brought Collins on and gone 3-5-2, keeping 3 in the middle and 2 up top. Jenks and Cress could have still got forward.

But thats my opinion.

I still for the life of me can't get my head around that Noble substitution. Even Nolan would have been better. Why on earth wasn't Poyet on the bench?

I would'nt argue about him and some footballers being overpaid. When Sam does eventually leave the club i'll be as happy as anyone to get a better manager on less money.

Surely you mean Takatictocs.

After8 4:51 Mon Feb 23
Re: Hes gotta go
No it isn't. He signs the players. He picks them. He sets the tatactics and he is there to manage and motivate them.

You would have thought an experienced and sophisticated manager would have spotted that we've been letting games turn into draws and have solved it by now or attempted to solve it.

Re: Hes gotta go
Who picks the players and instructs them then? That part seems relevant.

There's nothing unfortunate about Carlton doing his hamstring.

The best news of an otherwise depressing final 20 minutes.

Please God he's out for two months

Re: Hes gotta go
Strictly speaking how much he's paid is a bit irrelevant. Its the FUCKING PLAYERS that kick the ball about.

Re: Hes gotta go
Oh its all ifs and buts and its gone.

Yes Big Sam should never ever play Carlton Cole ever ever ever and yes he should have kept Noble on the pitch etc etc etc .

But West Ham players are professionals right ?

Song and Adrian made bigger boo boos than Sam Allardyce although many rightly or wrongly will choose to tell me to fuck right off.

i-Ron 4:45 Mon Feb 23
Re: Hes gotta go
Everyone from the outside always says he does a good job.

Odd how the majority of Blackburn Newcastle and West Ham fans don't agree at all with what he does though?

After8 4:44 Mon Feb 23
Re: Hes gotta go
Actually they all don't think we're doing well do they?
Do you think Sam being the 13th highest paid manager in world football is value for money?

So where should we be then at this stage of the season.
I listen to people in the game,.ex managers, current managers, players and pundits who know more about the game than i do and they all seem think we are doing ok.

Re: Hes gotta go
Thought it was pretty obvious at the time that bringing on a forward for a midfielder would be followed pretty quickly by a midfielder for a forward, keeping a defender on the bench for later reinforcement?

Re: Hes gotta go
CFC would have given the spurs defenders a different problem to deal with, he did win a few headers but then did a fucking clumsy foul.

I suspect the real CFC is not ideal for Premiership level but is probably a fair bit better than many posters on here claim.

RLS

Cole isn't very good is he, does nothing for the cause

if we had of gone down to 10 men due to Nobes being sent off it wouldn't have really mattered having CC on the pitch

Re: Hes gotta go
Not defending Allardyce, and not sure of the exact timeline, but I thought Valencia took a nasty knock first and after a few minutes Cole was told to warm up and be ready to come on.

Then Noble got involved in a scuffle and we needed to bring him off, it may be that CFC was ready and so he brought him on but wanted to consider our options about who would replace Noble.

Unfortunately CFC then done his hamstring.

Pretty unusual circumstances.
